?What is ELEVATE?
ELEVATE is a self-paced online learning platform that supports youth, caregivers, and professionals. It includes lessons and tools to help build life skills, plan for the future, and strengthen safety and stability.
?Who is ELEVATE for?
ELEVATE is for:
  • Youth (including youth in foster care or other systems)
  • Caregivers (foster parents, kinship caregivers, guardians, family supports)
  • Professionals (case managers, social workers, educators, providers, and support staff)
?Is ELEVATE a school or therapy program?
No. ELEVATE is not a school, therapy, or crisis service. It is an educational platform that helps people learn skills and strategies for everyday life.
?Do I need to be “ready” to start?
Yes — and also, it’s okay if you’re not. ELEVATE is designed so you can go at your own pace. You can pause, come back later, and take breaks when you need to.
?How do I create an account?
You’ll choose “Register” and create a login. If your state or program uses a code, you may be asked to enter it during sign-up.
?What if I forget my password?
Use the “Forgot Password” link on the login screen. You’ll get an email to reset your password. If you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder.
?I logged in, but I don’t see my courses. What do I do?
This usually happens when:
  • Your account is not assigned to the right state or audience (youth/caregiver/professional), or
  • Your program access is still being activated.
Try this first: 1) Log out 2) Log back in 3) Refresh the page.
If it still doesn’t show, go to the Contact Us page and send a quick message.
?Can I use ELEVATE on my phone?
Yes. ELEVATE works on phones, tablets, and laptops/desktops. For the best experience, we recommend using Chrome or Safari.
?Can I switch devices?
Yes. You can start on one device and continue on another. Just log in with the same account.
?How long do courses take?
It depends on the course. Some lessons are short and can be done in 10–15 minutes. Other courses are longer and may be completed over multiple sessions.
Tip: You don’t have to finish everything in one sitting.
?Do I have to do lessons in order?
Some courses follow a step-by-step path. Others let you choose what you need most. If a course requires an order, the platform will guide you.
?Can I repeat a lesson?
Yes. You can go back and review lessons anytime.
?What if a lesson brings up strong feelings?
That’s real — and you’re not alone. You can pause the lesson, take a break, return later, or reach out to a trusted adult or support person. If you ever feel unsafe or in danger, call 911. If you are in emotional distress, you can call or text 988 in the U.S.
?Will ELEVATE tell my case manager what I write in reflections?
Reflection responses may be used to help track your progress inside the platform. Depending on how your program is set up, some progress information may be visible to assigned program staff.

We encourage you to share only what feels safe and comfortable. If you have questions about what your local program can view, contact your program lead.
?Do I have to answer every reflection question?
Not always. Some activities are required for completion. Others are optional and meant to help you think. If a question feels too personal, it’s okay to keep it general.
?Do I get a certificate?
Some courses offer a Certificate of Completion. If your course includes a certificate, you’ll see it listed inside the course.
?What do I need to do to earn a certificate?
Usually you must:
  • Complete required lessons/activities
  • Pass a quiz (if included)
  • Finish the course to the end
?Can certificates count for foster parent training hours or CEUs?
It depends on your state, agency, and course setup.
  • Caregivers: Some states may accept certificates for training credit.
  • Professionals: Some trainings may offer CEUs or certificates.
If you need proof for your agency, download the certificate and ask your supervisor/program contact what they accept.
?My certificate name is wrong — can it be fixed?
Yes. Contact support through the Contact Us page and include:
  • The correct name
  • The course name
  • The email address on your account
?Is my information private?
ELEVATE takes privacy seriously. Your information is used to:
  • Create your account
  • Provide access to the right courses
  • Track progress for learning and completion
For full details, see the Terms of Use / Privacy Policy page.
?Does ELEVATE track my location?
ELEVATE does not need your exact location to work. Some programs are organized by state so we can provide the correct access and support.
?Can I use a nickname?
Some programs may require your legal name for certificates or records. If you need a different display name for safety or comfort, contact support and we’ll help when possible.
?What should I do if I see unsafe content or messages?
If you see something that feels unsafe or inappropriate:
  • Stop engaging
  • Take a screenshot (if safe to do so)
  • Report it through the Contact Us page
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
?What internet browser should I use?
Best options are Chrome, Safari, or Edge. If something isn’t working, try switching browsers.
